This introduction to Marxism-Leninism-Maoism was written by some Indian comrades who are now members of the Communist Party of India (Maoist). In the text the authors refer to “Marxism-Leninism-Mao Tse-tung Thought” whereas now most communists in the Maoist stream of Marxism call this world outlook “Marxism-Leninism-Maoism”. This is because it came to be realised that the theory and practice of the communist movement as developed by the Communist Party of China under the leadership of Mao Tse-tung constitutes a qualitative advance over the level of political activity achieved during the period when the main leaders were Lenin and then Stalin. If we do not take account of, apply and develop the lessons to be learnt from Maoism then we will not be able to develop the worldwide revolutionary struggle and meet with success. For the rational for this terminological change see Long Live Marxism-Leninism-Maoism!
